4 days to go and there’s a spring in our step!

ConkerTU just gets better and better! Determined to source local foods for you all, we had some difficulty in finding large sponsors - I guess they wanted the brand recognition / product placement and all. We took the decision not to compromise our ideals, even if it meant paying for your refreshments ourselves!

No doubt, you can imagine our glee just now,when Swithland Spring Water agreed to donate two HUGE bottles of local spring water to our cause! This rocks in more ways than one:

The water comes from deep under the rocks of the Charnwood Hills, an area rich in ancient forest which is just down the road from Conkers;

and Swithland are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts - they’re keen to keep water miles low. Not all our participants are potential customers so to speak.

Don’t you just love it when people share your ideals and give a little?  As Phil would say *awesome* - but then I have a funny feeling the ConkerTU launch is going to be just that!
